Procure packaging supplies to support prototype builds of new products as required.
Plan and execute procurement of packaging supplies to include reels and paper interleaf using production / NPI schedules to maintain inventory at planned level (i.
e.
, just in time purchases, use of EOQ (Economic Order Quantities).
Responsible for the transactional purchase processUsing ERP system, determine MRP and Purchasing requirements to include what to buy, the appropriate quantity, and when to pull in / push outEnsure manufacturing is not shut down due to supply.
Implement inventory management practices to achieve SCM KPI inventory goals, and manage/monitor those inventory levels in accordance with associated KPI's.
Support the generation and/or presenting of MRO reports such as OTD to internal Production, Inventory Aging and Inventory E&O for KPI reviews, one on one meetings with other SCM people, and for management reviews.
Responsible for all MRO buying to include office supplies.
Work closely with internal functional group to ensure possible non-conforming procured items are reviewed and dispositioned in a timely manner.
Work closely with the Logistics department and the Vendors to ensure purchased item delivery schedules are adequate to achieve On-Time Delivery.
Education /Skills /
Qualifications:
3
years of material purchasing experience.
Supply chain certifications preferredEx:
APICS CPIM / CSCPKnowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application.
MRP system experience in a Supply Chain Manufacturing OrganizationDemonstrated leadership skills and ability to elicit cooperation from team members.
